Keeping the kids active with structured play along with free play

At The Athletic Buddha we believe that keeping the kids active with structured play along with free play is best for your kids after school. Here are our After School Fitness kids learning the Deadlift. The main emphasis of this activity is to get the kids familiar with this action and to try and give them cues that will help their form. We don’t overload our Junior athletes with weights or high intensity, instead we focus more on form, technique and most of all FUN.

Today’s WOD (workout of the day).
5 MIN AMRAP
6 deadlifts
6 box jumps
6 ball slams
10 jump squats

Then ascending burpees at the end of each round.
1,2,3,4,5……

After that 30 minute session it was out onto the back oval for ball sports and gymnastics.
