THE ATHLETIC BUDDHA KIDS COVID RESPONSE

The Athletic Buddha continues to follow the advice from State and Federal Health Departments regarding the current COVID-19 pandemic. The health, welfare and wellbeing of our athletes, staff and families will always be our priority.

Our Coaches and Staff will not attend if they are unwell, and we ask that your child also not attend if unwell.

We provide hand sanitiser and ask all children to sanitise at the start of their session.

The Team at The Athletic Buddha will continue to clean before, after and in between every session with disinfectant wipes and all high touch surfaces such as door handles.

Social distancing practices are in place during the classes, and parents/carers are not permitted in the building if the current regulations do not permit it. Parents are also required to wear a mask at pick up/ drop off if entering our premises.

WHAT IF THE WORKSHOP IS CANCELLED DUE TO COVID REGULATIONS?

If we have to cancel our School Holiday Workshop due to COVID regulations, we will hold your payment as a credit towards a future Camp in the next 12 months.

HOW DO WE ENROL?

We have a user friendly booking system where you can register your child into one or all of our amazing School Holiday Workshops. Each child will need to be individually registered to ensure we can collect all of their important information such as food allergies or pre-existing injuries to ensure our Coaches and Staff can best cater to your child’s needs. You can pay online by credit card and also apply to have your CREATIVE KIDS Voucher credit applied to your shopping cart.

Once you have completed the enrolment process, you will receive an email with the receipt. Be sure to keep an eye on your inbox as we will send you a detailed event email closer to the workshop date.

MY CHILD HAS NEVER DONE ANTHING LIKE THIS BEFORE, DOES THAT MATTER?

NO! The Athletic Buddha programs are designed to cater to children of all ability levels. Our highly experienced Coaches pride themselves on an all inclusive day of activities regardless of ability.

WILL MY CHILD HAVE FUN & BE SAFE?

Absolutely! We thrive on FUN! As parents ourselves, we ensure our environment, Coaches and programming is top notch! With over 100 children currently participating in our programmes every week, we are confident that your child will have a blast. The Athletic Buddha Team will inspire your child to give sports a go as our Coaches show your children how to lift correctly, pass a ball in soccer or cheer for their teammates as they battle it out in one of our many games and activities. Not only do we focus on fun, your child’s safety is our primary concern and we assure that our venue is safe, secure and rewarding for all children.

WHAT DOES MY CHILD WEAR & WHAT DO I NEED TO PACK?

Camps days are our favourite days! To make sure your junior athlete gets the most out of their Workshop, please ensure your child:

  • Brings a refillable water bottle
  • Brings a hat
  • Wears closed in shoes
  • Brings his/her asthma puffer or EPIPEN if required (must be handed to a staff member)
  • Wears comfortable clothing easy to move in and appropriate for messy play
  • Brings a jacket
  • PLEASE ENSURE ALL BELONGINGS ARE CLEARLY LABELLED

What NOT to bring:

  • No electronic devices such as iPads, and phones
  • Please do not bring any food or snacks as it is all provided (With exception of The AB Big FUN Day out)

WHAT IF MY CHILD HAS A MEDICAL CONDITION, DIETARY REQUIREMENT OR A DISABILITY?

It is rather common to have children with medical conditions attending our programs. At the time of registration, you will be asked multiple questions to ensure we can cater to your child’s individual needs. WHAT IF IT RAINS?

The majority of The Athletic Buddha events go ahead rain, hail or shine. The safety and wellbeing of children at our events is paramount and no child will be put in a situation that will endanger them. We run our programs both indoors and on our back oval, however we understand certain weather conditions are out of our hands.

WILL YOU CONTACT ME IF THERE ARE ANY ISSUES?

Yes. We request several contact numbers during the registration process to ensure we can contact you in the unlikely event there is an issue involving your child.

ARE THE COACHES WORKING WITH CHILDREN APPROVED?

Yes. All of our staff have completed their working with children check. We also have 1 x first aid trained Athletic Buddha Team member on site at all times, although there are usually several.

WHAT IS YOUR REFUND POLICY?

Refunds will only be given (minus a $20 administration fee) if you wish to cancel at least 7 days prior to the Workshop start date.

Bookings cancelled less than 7 days before the Workshop starts, will be indisputably non-refundable.

We will however hold a credit for you to be used at another workshop within the subsequent 12 month, minus the $20 administration and catering fee.
