The last of our school holiday programs for 5-10 year olds is complete. It was hot and humid but that didn’t stop our little Athletic Buddha’s. We started the day with a CrossFit Kids session where the kids learnt the thruster (a squat with an above the head press) & the kettlebell deadlift in their skill component. For their WOD (workout of the day) they did:
7 minute AMRAP:
5 box jumps
5 Knees 2 chest
5 ball slams
*40m run every 90 seconds.
After their workout they went outside for some rugby, soccer and gymnastics. The middle of the day was filled mixed sports and games and a dance off or two.
The last but definitely not least, our little monks meditated on their own yoga mat to the sound of some deeply relaxing music and the guidance of coach Daniel. We believe it was the perfect end to a fun filled, fast paced- hot day.
